Mission Statement

The mission of the School of Engineering is to develop outstanding professionals in the engineering field, competent to work in different scenarios, and able to contribute with their knowledge, skills, and abilities to the well-being of society.

Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering programs are accredited by the Council on Higher Education of Puerto Rico and the Middle States Commission of Higher Education.

Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org.

The ABET accreditation ensures that the program meets the quality standards established by the engineering profession for which the student is prepared. ABET accreditation is important for the following reasons: reliability accreditation provides students and their parents at the time of selecting a quality academic program for college for their children. Accreditation provides confidence to employers when recruiting new graduates. The accreditation demonstrates the commitment of academic programs to evaluate and improve their quality in a continuous manner.
